Members of the Presidential Guard had to seek refuge inside the Parliament after severe incidents erupted outside the building.

Within minutes, the area around the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier turned into a battleground, with hooded individuals hurling a barrage of Molotov cocktails and stones towards the Parliament.

Under the directive of the President of the Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, the Evzones entered the Parliament building to avoid the dangers posed by the widespread unrest.
