Seven Bidders Compete for Iconic Vouliagmeni Beach Lease

Hellenic Public Properties Co., a subsidiary of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP), announced on Thursday that seven entities have submitted expressions of interest for the long-term lease of the prestigious “Akti Vouliagmeni” site. Located in the Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni municipality along southeast Athens’ Athenian Riviera, this 72,700-square-meter private beach is widely regarded as a coastal gem.

The interested parties, listed alphabetically, are:

• AIR CANTEEN A.E.
• ATHENS BEACH CLUB S.A.
• FAIS HOLDINGS S.A.
• MONTEKAVO REAL ESTATE S.A.
• THE MARGI S.A.
• Consortium: EVERGOOD S.A. Holding – Geusinous
• Consortium: REDS S.A.

The concession spans 20 years, with a potential 10-year extension, and includes the option to develop 2,000 square meters of additional buildings on the site. The beach, which features a 638.5-meter shoreline and previously housed a restaurant, welcomed 420,000 visitors in 2024 and can host up to 8,000 people daily.
