Extension of the “e-Astypalea” Program Deadline Until the End of 2025

The deadlines for submitting applications and completing the “e-Astypalea” program have been extended.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, a Joint Ministerial Decision (No. 87194, Government Gazette B’ 2640/29.05.2025) has set the new application submission deadline for the program to December 31, 2025, with the program’s completion (disbursement of subsidies) extended to December 31, 2026. Payment requests will be accepted until August 31, 2026.

The “e-Astypalea” program subsidizes the purchase or lease of electric vehicles for residents and businesses on the island. It also supports the optional scrapping of old vehicles, except for taxis, where scrapping is mandatory.

Eligible participants can submit applications through the e-astypalea.gov.gr platform using their Taxisnet credentials. A dedicated help desk is available to assist applicants.

The “e-Astypalea” initiative is part of the flagship “Astypalea: Smart and Sustainable Island” project, aiming to establish Astypalea as a model for climate-neutral mobility.
