Greece welcomed 10.3 million international air arrivals in the first half of 2025, marking an increase of 556,000 passengers or +5.7% compared to the same period in 2024, according to figures released by INSETE, the Institute of the Greek Tourism Confederation.
Top 3 Destinations: Athens, Crete, and the Dodecanese
- Athens ranked first among all destinations, receiving 3.8 million international arrivals via Athens International Airport — an increase of 335,000 arrivals (+9.6%) compared to H1 2024.
- Crete followed with 1.9 million international arrivals, showing a growth of +4.7%.
- The Dodecanese came next, with 1.5 million arrivals, posting a +1.3% increase.
