TERNA Energy: New 130MW Photovoltaic Unit in Bulgaria

TERNA Energy Group has announced a major investment in Bulgaria, namely, the design and construction of a photovoltaic power plant with a nominal capacity of 130MW near the Black Sea port city of Burgas.
As part of the strategic cooperation between TERNA Energy, a Masdar subsidiary, and GEK TERNA, the project is being implemented by TERNA, the construction arm of the GEK TERNA Group.
The project includes the installation of a photovoltaic power plant, as well as construction to connect it to national grid, along with the construction of a new 33/110 kV substation.
According to a timetable, the unit will be connected with the Bulgarian grid at around the end of 2026.
TERNA Energy already operates two wind farms in Bulgaria with a total installed capacity of 30 MW.
