Papastergiou: The platform for declaring the Personal Identification Number will open on Tuesday

The consolidation of the state’s registries will be achieved through the Personal Identification Number, which will officially launch on Tuesday, June 3, when the relevant platform for declarations opens. This was emphasised by the Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou in statements to Mega television on Thursday, clarifying that this process will help resolve issues such as duplicate records, among others.

“The registries need to be organised – there are cases where duplicate National Security Numbers (AMKA) existed. The AMKA is never deleted, it is simply deactivated,” said Papastergiou, among others.

The new number will be obtained electronically through myInfo on gov.gr, using Taxisnet credentials.
