Thanasis Antetokounmpo Explores Other NBA Options, Could Join Greece’s Aris BC

Thanasis Antetokounmpo is actively seeking an NBA contract outside of the Milwaukee Bucks, but a return to Greece remains a possibility, according to NBA Updates.

While the veteran forward is focused on remaining in the NBA, a shift in plans could see him suit up for Aris Basketball Club, based in Thessaloniki. The move is gaining traction amid reports that Richard Xiao, a close friend of the Antetokounmpo family, recently acquired ownership of the Greek team according to greek city times.

Aris BC, one of Greece’s most historic clubs, would benefit significantly from the addition of the 31-year-old forward, who previously played for Panathinaikos before joining the NBA.

This move comes after his brother, Giannis Antetokounmpo, reaffirmed his commitment to Milwaukee Bucks and his ambition to return to the NBA Finals.
