President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas referred to the commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on Thursday, by stating, “We remember and honor the memory of its 1.5 million innocent victims.”
Tassoulas said it is the highest national obligation both for the victims’ memory and for human conscience “to restore the historic truth and be continuously vigilant to avert similar heinous crimes in the future – which hellenism has similarly also suffered – and every action that incites by words and deeds discrimination, bigotry, and violence.”
The president added that “the only path for humanity is the path of peace, coexistence, and justice.”
